Four weekly community beach clean at Rossall Promenade Cleveleys - everyone welcome to come and help.
Rossall Beach Residents & Community Group hold a programme of four weekly community beach cleans, where everyone is welcome to come along and help. It doesn't matter where you live, how long you can stay, or whether you come once or every time - all help is appreciated.
Meet at 9.30am at the car parking area on Rossall Promenade, Cleveleys, near the community sign board.
If you'd like to know more about how this group looks after the beach - or join in with other things but not beach cleaning - feel free to come along and meet the team for a chat!
Monday beach cleans in 2014 are planned for:
Pick for as long as you like - the event usually finishes around lunch time or when everyone has finished talking! All equipment is provided - litter pickers, gloves, buckets and sacks.
This event is supported by the Wyre Council Waterfront Rangers and volunteer Rangers.
PLEASE NOTE: This event is dependent on the weather, which is often worse on the beach than it might be even slightly inland. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and wrap up warm. If the event is cancelled because of the weather a notice will be placed on the group website before 9am on the day. Please check www.rossallbeach.org.uk
Rossall Beach Residents & Community Group is a registered charity which works to improve the environment from the cafe at the end of the new sea defences at Cleveleys, through to the Five Bar Gate near to Rossall School.
There are regular beach cleans to get involved with and other environmental projects, plus fundraising and community events just for fun and to make new friends. You can help to improve the environment and to make the place better for everyone to enjoy, whether they are residents or visitors. Find out more about the Rossall Beach Group.
