There’s a new date for your diary for 2019 – get ready to celebrate Fleetwood Day!
The First Fleetwood Day
Bank Holiday Monday 6 May 2019
Fleetwood Town Council is pleased to announce that a grant of £4,500 will fund the new celebration called “Fleetwood Day”.
The Sir Peter Hesketh Fleetwood Statue Group has been awarded the grant. The cheque was presented to representatives of the group by Cllr Terry Rogers at the Euston Gardens.
The Town Council is proud to support the efforts of this group who installed the new statue of the town’s founder in 2018. This new event is a community celebration of Heritage, History and Culture.
“Fleetwood Day” will be held on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May. The event will promote Fleetwood to local residents and visitors alike, and celebrate the towns unique history.
Watch this space, we’ll share details when we get them!
