Volunteers needed for Fleetwood Museum
Are you looking for something to do for a spare few hours each week? Why not join the friendly group of volunteers?
No previous experience is needed – training is offered to support the volunteer’s role and social occasions to enhance it. All you need is an interest in the history of Fleetwood and a friendly attitude.
If you’d like to find out more, please contact Sue Porter on 01253 873824 to arrange a meeting. And please mention that you saw it on Visit Fleetwood!
Fleetwood in Bloom Poppy Remembrance
In 2018, Fleetwood Museum asked residents to paint a poppy in memory of a loved one lost at sea, at war or a family member who was seagoing. It’s part of Fleetwood Town Councils In Bloom project to turn 10,000 plastic bottles into a sea of Remembrance for the anniversary of WW1.
Call into the Museum to see the finished installation on display in the Harriet boat shed.
