With just eight weeks to the next match, the pitch at Fleetwood Town is being renovated.
Pitch Renovation at Fleetwood Town Football Club
Early on the morning of Thursday 23 May, kit was assembled and ready for the renovation and re-seeding of the grass at Highbury.
The existing pitch surface had already been stripped off, and the bare earth was ready and waiting to go.
The Club had arranged a demonstration day with Campey Turf Care – the company who provide pitch maintenance equipment to football clubs including the likes of Old Trafford – which would see 80 delegates from clubs all over the north coming along to Fleetwood to watch the process in action.
The top surface pitch is removed, and then the advanced process sees re-seeding, sand and root-zone applications which will result in a strong, sturdy sward ready for games to commence in just eight weeks time for the next pre-season friendly on 20 July.
We’ll keep you posted on the green shoots of growth!
