Dementia Cafe Club

New Dementia Café Club opens in Fleetwood with help from Fleetwood Rotary Club.

Do you care for someone with or suffer from Dementia or Alzheimer’s?

Then come along for an informal chat and get together at the new dementia café club in Fleetwood. This is open to all Fleetwood, Fylde and Blackpool residents.

It's held in Emmanuel Church’s Café 3 one 6, 108 Lord Street, Fleetwood, next to the post office, every second and fourth Tuesday of each month between 1pm and 3pm.

Rotarian Maurice Dowsing who was responsible for this initiative said, “Fleetwood Rotary, along with the Local NHS Care Trust, organised this activity having heard of the success of the one held in Cleveleys & Lytham and have set the days so as not to clash with their meetings.

"The aim is to help those who may think that ‘no one understands’ and to show them that they are not alone. You can meet people who do understand and are in similar circumstances. Information will also be available on all the various Agencies that can help. A warm welcome is definitely assured.“

For further information please contact Maurice Dowsing telephone number 07920 422 324.
