Former Health Centre Site at London Street

The former Fleetwood Health Centre site at London Street is set to be the location for 18 new, affordable town centre homes.

The GP practice moved to Fleetwood Health and Wellbeing Centre at Dock Street in 2013. The clinic was newly built in 2012.

Since then the building at London Street had been standing empty – a magnet for vandals, arsonists and antisocial behaviour. It really was a blot on the landscape!

Plans for Former Health Centre Site at London Street

Local businessman Sunny Deol and business partner have bought the site. They plan to build 18 new affordable homes, right at the heart of the town centre. Planning consent has already been granted by Wyre Council.

Eight of the three bedroom terraced houses will face onto Preston Street. Another ten three bedroom houses will face onto London Street.

We went along in February 2021 to take a look. Even with the building razed to the ground it looks better!
