More about Fleetwood Music and Arts Festival

This Festival has been going for over 60 years and its the longest non-stop running festival in Fleetwood’s history that we know of.
The festival is a series of competitions for AMATEUR vocalists, choirs and instrumentalists as well as verse speakers, trainees in reading for performance, acting, mime and improvisation. The aim of it is to encourage and promote a high standard in the performing arts, including vocals, instrumental music and speech. It’s often the first platform for many future professionals – 80% of performers competing nationally are under 18 years.
Its a great day out to see some of the fantastic talent of the town and surrounding areas. A fun and relaxed environment, where everyone feels part of the festival family!
Fleetwood Music and Arts Festival is an annual event run for and by the community. It’s an opportunity for competitors to receive professional advice from adjudicators to enhance their performance. Gain confidence in performing if you take part
And it’s a unique opportunity for the general public to hear a wide variety of performing arts, from Folk Songs to Arias, Solo Improvisation to Comic Verse and Piano Solo to Instrumental Ensemble
