Fleetwood’s Crown Green Bowls Festival

The countdown has started for entering the Fleetwood Bowling Festival and bowlers are being urged to enter quickly.
The Fleetwood Bowls Festival is a prestigious crown green bowls tournament which began in 1980 and is one of the big annual Fleetwood events which attracts competitors from all over the country.
The winners of the Ladies and Men’s Competitions automatically qualify for the Champion of Champions event at the Waterloo.
The Festival also features Junior Competitions; which are open to any youngster under the age of sixteen years.
The Competition is played on the greens in Fleetwood’s newly re-developed Marine Gardens. This is usually in the last week of July.
Bowling greens in the Memorial Park and Fleetwood Bowling Club are also used during the preliminary rounds.
The entry fee for the Men’s Main Competition is £10.
The Ladies Main Competition is £8.
Qualifying for the Fleetwood Bowls Festival is on Mon 24th July.
